Corto chileno va a los Oscars

Como es tradición, esta mañana se dieron a conocer los nominados para la edición número 88 de los premios de la Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas, conocidos popularmente como los Oscars. En este caso, el galardón premiará a lo mejor del cine durante la temporada 2015, y nuevamente hay  chilenos entre los considerados para llevarse la estatuilla dorada: Historia de Un Oso (Bear Story), dirigido por Gabriel Osorio y producido por Patricio Escala, compite en la categoría de Mejor Corto Animado.

Realizado por el estudio Punkrobot, Bear Story ha estado haciéndose una considerable reputación internacional, habiendo ganado más de 40 premios en el extranjero. El corto cuenta la historia de un oso arrastrado lejos de su familia y obligado a ser animal de circo, inspirado en la experiencia del abuelo del director, perseguido y posteriormente exiliado por la dictadura de Augusto Pinochet.

De esta manera, Chile vuelve a tener presencia en los Oscar, tras la nominación de No de Pablo Larraín en el 2013. Orgullo para la industria nacional. Puedes ver el trailer a continuación:

En el resto de las categorías, The Revenant, dirigida por Alejandro G. Iñárritu y protagonizada por Leonardo Di Caprio, se impuso con la mayor cantidad de nominaciones, compitiendo por 12 estatuillas. Le sigue Mad Max: Fury Road, que anotó 10 consideraciones.
