Pese a quedarse con el premio grande, 'Game Of Thrones' perdió en la mayoría de las categorías importantes en los Emmy

La serie de HBO se perfilaba para arrasar en la noche, aunque terminó llevándose solo 2 galardones en la transmisión televisada.

Si algo parecía seguro antes de la ceremonia de los Emmys 2019, es que 'Game Of Thrones' era la gran favorita de la noche. Pese a las críticas a su temporada final, el último ciclo del hit de HBO llegó con más nominaciones que cualquier otra serie a la premiación, y ya venía de ganar varios 'Emmys creativos' la semana anterior.

Sin embargo, resulta que ni el favoritismo claro de la Academia de la TV por la saga de fantasía evitó que 'GoT' terminara decepcionando en la noche. Claro, 'decepción' es quizás un término equivocado si se considera que la serie se quedó con el galardón más codiciado de la noche: 'Mejor Serie Dramática', además de un trofeo a 'Mejor Actor Secundario en Drama' para Peter Dinklage. Sin embargo, esos fueron los únicos dos trofeos que consiguieron durante la ceremonia principal.

Quizás prediciendo que una victoria en 'Dirección' o 'Guión', 2 de los puntos más criticados de la temporada final, sería armar demasiada polémica, los premios en estas categorías fueron para 'Succession' y 'Ozark', mientras que en todas las categorías de actuación que no fueron 'Mejor Actor Secundario' se impuso otra serie.

Al final, los Emmys le dieron un respaldo al polémico adiós de 'Game Of Thrones', aunque dejaron en claro que no sentían el mismo entusiasmo por la serie que en otros años. Por otro lado ¡'Chernobyl' Mejor Miniserie!
